When you care enough to send the very best....use a .45. As a tanker in Vietnam we were issued .45 cal. 1911A1s and M3A1 .45 cal. 'greaseguns'. Having used both in up close and personal situations, when hit with a .45 round, nobody gets up....period! I've put several rounds into a charging bad guy with my .30 M2 carbine and he just came on. If you carry and have to use a handgun....be ready...be sure with a .45
